The public is invited to observe Uranus, the seventh planet from sun and the third largest planet in the solar system, and Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, during the first Texas A&M University-Kingsville Observatory’s public viewing of the season.

The free viewing begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in the observatory on the third floor of Hill Hall, located east of the Memorial Student Union Building. Parking is available in the lot next to Jones Hall and Manning Hall on the corner of Santa Gertrudis and Armstrong and along Santa Gertrudis.

In the event of poor viewing conditions or inclement weather, there will be a video screened downstairs in Hill Hall.
