Mrs. Lopez was born June 25, 1922, in Kingsbury to Priscilina Rodriguez and Ysabel Morales. She married Merced Lopez Sr. in June of 1939, and was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ysabel and Priscilina Morales; her husband, Merced Lopez Sr.; a son, Isaac Lopez; and a brother; Candelario Morales.
Survivors include a son, Merced M. (Virginia) Lopez of Three Rivers; three daughters, Mary (Valentin) Macias, Elena Lopez and Marta Garcia, all of Three Rivers; a daughter-in-law, Janie Lopez of Three Rivers; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel in Three Rivers. A prayer service as held there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral service was conducted there at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Valentin Macias Sr. officiating. Musical selections included “Cuando Alla Se Pase Lista,” “Mas Alla del Sol,” “Si Me Preguntan, Porque Ama A Mi Señor” and was provided by Salvador Rincon and Reyes Rangel. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Valentin Macias Jr., Daniel Ramirez, Solomon Lopez, Pete Lopez, Arturo Gonzalez and Alvaro Gonzalez.
