Mildred McAda, 101, formerly of Pettus, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.

Mrs. McAda was born Nov. 19, 1909, in Dime Box to Mary Ella (Dodd) and George Washington Black. She married Donnie McAda in 1930 in Fowlerton and was a housewife and a member of the Pettus First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and a brother.

Survivors include a son, James Donald (Pam) McAda of Granbury; two grandsons, Colby (Cammie) McAda of Trophy Club and Jaime McAda and family of Bay City; and one great-grandson.

The graveside service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with Roy Cox officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Pettus First Baptist Church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Eckols Funeral Home, Kenedy.
