Fourteen members of New Life Baptist Church in Beeville are planning a missions trip to the Dominican Republic this coming July. The group will be accompanying others from the South Texas Children’s Home Ministries and will be led by Ben Argil, missions team leader at STCHM and New Life.

Argil, along with Pastor Jesse Berthold, has brought a renewed vision to the church members of New Life of how giving and serving other in a foreign land brings renewed commitment to serve God in one’s own church and community.

There will be many opportunities to minister during the trip, including Vacation Bible Schools and other children’s activities, visits to orphanages and individual homes, construction projects, workshops on nutrition, parenting and teacher training sessions and medical and dental clinics.

New Life will hold several fund-raising events to sponsor this trip, the first of which will be a rummage sale March 5 at New Life Church, 2106 Jones Road, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
