Robert “Bob” Eison, 84, passed away on March 18, 2011. He was born to Robert Edward Lee and Lou Etta Willis Eison, Sr. on June 12, 1926, in Hollywood, Fla. He married Ruth Hildebrand on November 16, 1952, in Los Angeles, Calif. He was retired Air Force and a WWII Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of First Christian Church, a volunteer for The Beeville Vineyard and retired truck driver.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Davis of Skidmore, TX; brother-in-law, Maurice Walker of Skidmore, TX; nephews, Matthew Davis (Angie) of Houston, TX, Daniel Mahoney of San Antonio, TX, and Edward Lindsay of Tennessee; and nieces, Ruth Wasserman (Garrett Mortensen) of Skidmore, TX and Tracie Woodard (Jeff) of Wynne, AR.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Eison; sister, Elizabeth Dearing; brother, Bill Eison; brother-in-law, James Davis; and sister-in-law, Anita Walker.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at First Christian Church with Rev. Geraldine Huckman officiating.

Mr. Eison donated his body to The University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center for Medical Research.
