Mrs. Arrisola was born May 7, 1933, in Beeville, to Antonia (Solis) and Pedro Solis. She married Genaro Arrisola Sr. in Beeville and was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Antonia Solis; her husband, Genaro Arrisola Sr.; two brothers, Manuel and Edward DelBosque; a grandson, Henry Ocana; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons, Genaro (Mary Jane) Arrisola Jr., Hector (Norma) Arrisola and Ricardo Arrisola, all of Beeville; three daughters, Dalia (Gonzalo) Salazar of El Paso, Yolanda (Mitchell) Smith of Beeville and Joyce Arrisola of San Antonio; two brothers, Joe G. Gonzales of Victoria and Ernest Alvarado of Beeville; five sisters, Herminia DelBosque, Juana Maldonado, Maria Carmel Espinosa, Petra Garza and Dolores Garcia, all of Beeville; an aunt Irene M. Soliz of Beeville; 15 grandchildren, Eric Arrisola, Monica Mendoza, Ashley Salazar, Jennifer Salazar, Mitchell Smith Jr., Ozzie Smith, Trey Smith, Dawn “D.D.” Cuevas, James Arrisola, Ricardo Arrisola Jr., Isaac Richard Arrisola, Eric James Arrisola, Mario Ocana, Mary Jane Ocana and Mark Ocana; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial followed in the San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville Community.
Pallbearers were Eric Arrisola, Ashley Salazar, Mitchell Smith Jr., James Arrisola, Ozzie Smith and Trey Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren.
