Bee-Tex dog show to be held April 30-May 1

The Bee-Tex Kennel Club annual two-day dog show will be held Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, at the Bee County Expo Center. Show times will run from 8 a.m. to about 3 p.m. on both days.

The Bee-Tex Kennel Club has a long and rich history in purebred dog competition that spans three decades. Details on what time breeds will show can be found on the club’s website. The club’s photo albums will also be on display for public viewing.

A silent auction will be held, with the winning bids announced Sunday at 10 a.m. Saturday evening at 6 o’clock, there will be an all-breed fun match. The fun match prepares younger dogs and novice handlers for competition in an informal and relaxed setting.

On-site entries are accepted for AKC-registered dogs over the age of three months until 4 p.m. Ask for Zaza at the show secretary’s table. Judges from across the country will judge dogs from all over the state as well as the surrounding states which will compete for points and the coveted Best in Show each day.
