Benito was employed with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Beeville Independent School District as a bus driver. He enjoyed doing carpentry Work, fishing and spending quality time with his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria A. Puga of Beeville, Texas; his parents, Benito and Paula Puga of Beeville, Texas; five sons, Benito A. Puga III (Isabel) of Spain, Daniel N. Puga, Patrick Puga, Matthew Eli Puga and Jonah I. Puga, all of Beeville, Texas; two daughters, Rose Marie Salazar (Armando) and Laura Michelle Puga, both of Beeville, Texas; five brothers, Agustavo, Domingo, Arnulfo, Arrgumero and Angel Puga, all of Beeville, Texas; six sisters, Anita Guzman, Carmen Garcia, Odelia Pena, Dalia Rodriguez, Modesta Hernandez and Jenny Chavez, all of Beeville, Texas; six grandchildren, Arielle, Angela, Annmarie, Joanna, Biana and Jasmine; and one great-grandchild, Jodeci.
Visitation for family was held on Saturday April 16, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. Public visitation was held on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary held that evening at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday April 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
