Mrs. Longoria was born Nov. 27, 1934, in Beeville to Guadalupe and Gregoria Rodriguez Loya. She married Joe V. Longoria on June 7, 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years; a brother, Ray Loya; and a grandson, Carlos Luke Cantu.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Rey) Longoria of Beeville, Carrie (Joe) Longoria, David (Anna) Longoria, Cecelia “Tetina” (Kine) Reyes, Bobby (Sandra) Longoria, Tommy (Michelle) Longoria and Cathy (Carlos) Cantu, all of Victoria; a sister, Nacha Farias; four brothers, Lupe Loya, Derlin Loya and Antonio Loya, all of Beeville, and Ernesto Loya of Beaumont; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Eddie Garcia officiating. Gerald Moreno provided musical selections. Interment followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Rey Longoria II, Michael Joseph Cantu, Matthew James Cantu, Aaron David Longoria, Kine Lee Reyes, Carlos Robert Longoria, Joseph Cosme Longoria, Ryan Guerra and Tommy Christopher Longoria.
Carlos Luke Cantu was an honorary pallbearer.
Flower girls were granddaughters Debbie Gonzales, Dena Ramirez, Donna Rey Cuellar, Wendy Perez, Michelle Cantu, Monica Cantu, Laura Longoria, Lacie Barnett, Lindsey Reyes, Alexis Longoria, Meagan Longoria, Adriana Cantu and Alison Cantu.
