Mr. Perkins was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Skidmore, to Elmer and Minerva Curbello Perkins. He married Billie Nelson on Nov. 1, 1946, in Yuma, Ariz. and was a shop foreman for Coastal States gas company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of Tuleta Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Minerva (Curbello) Perkins.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Nelson Perkins of Tuleta; a daughter, Lori (Randy) Gannon of Victoria; two sons, Lawrence (Sue) Perkins of Pettus and Roger (Ginger) Perkins of Beeville; a sister, Mary Ballard of Beeville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Eckols Funeral Chapel in Kenedy.
A graveside service was held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
