Mrs. Lopez was born April 28, 1931, in Bee County, to Victoria (Marin) and Felipe Garza. She married Bernardo Lopez in Three Rivers in 1950, and was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Ray Point Community Center since 1950, and the Sacred Heart Barbecue Committee for 34 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Oscar Lopez; and a brother, Roberto Garza.
Survivors include her husband, Bernardo Lopez of Three Rivers; two daughters, Sylvia (Pete) Salazar and Virginia (Martin) Tanguma, both of Three Rivers; three brothers, Fred (Blanca) Garza of Sinton, Henry (Sylvia) Garza and Billy Garza, both of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Martha (Domingo) Salinas of Beeville, Olivia (Max) Salazar of San Antonio and Luiza Garza of Three Rivers; five grandchildren, Thomas Salazar, Tyler Lopez, Tate Lopez, Tanya Salazar and Theresa Salazar; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. A rosary was recited at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church with Rev. Ryszard Zielinski officiating. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Liska, Steve Garza, Philip Garza, Balerio Lopez, Adolfo Lopez and Daniel Alvarez.
Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Wernli, Joe Malik and John Franciseni.
