Texas music lovers won’t want to miss the debut of the Rockport Music Festival, rich in heritage and tradition in the stellar lineup of Texas musicians alone.

With coastal views, sea breezes, delicious seafood and the charm that only the Rockport-Fulton area can offer, the first-ever Rockport Music Festival is a member-based event designed to bring top acts to South Texas and will take place June 9-11, on the banks of Fulton Harbor in Rockport-Fulton. Tickets and memberships are available now.

The 2011 Rockport Music Festival features Texas legends Jerry Jeff Walker, Gary P. Nunn, Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Willis Alan Ramsey on Saturday. Friday night showcases the Casey Donahew Band and Cory Morrow. Thursday’s “members only” party will be rocked by Delbert McClinton, a Fort Worth native, and Malford Milligan, who will deliver his special brand of blues/rock.

“The Rockport Music Festival is going to showcase the best in Texas music in this beautiful new outdoor venue right along the water. It’s the perfect combination,” says organizer Tommy Moore.

Rockport Music Festival’s musical genres will vary year to year –- even day to day. In future years, festival-goers can look forward to a mix of Texas, blues, rock, jazz, and singer/songwriter music for the discriminating music lover.
