He was born on December 22, 1944, in Beeville, to Lino Garcia and Elena Martinez Garcia.
Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his father, Lino Garcia; and one brother, Ubaldo “Blackie” Adamez. He was a retired custodian and enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys and training horses for many years. He loved and cherished his grandchildren and also being around his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Juarez Garcia; his mother, Elena Zambrano; three sons, Baldemar (Dolores) Garcia and Lino (Martina) Garcia, both of Beeville, and Marco (Diana) Garcia of Arlington; two daughters, Cathy Garcia and Johanna Garcia; three sisters, Ofilia (Joe Ray) Loya, Viola Lopez and Janie Rodriguez; mother-in-law, Dora Molina, all of Beeville; and grandchildren, Jerad and Amber Garcia, Sylvia and Jesse Gonzales Jr., Mercedes Peña and Matthew Valle Jr., all of Beeville, and Gabriella and Karina Garcia of Arlington.
A Rosary was recited on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Gonzales, Teo Garcia, Lalo Alvarado, Tony Rodriguez, Bebe Adamez and Jesse Gene Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers were Wally Camacho, Frank Maldonado, Donnie Rodriguez, Frank Montez, Joe Ray Loya, Don Deleon, Rick Deleon, Joe Hancock, Joe Ray Loya Jr., Matthew Valle Jr. and Jerad Garcia.
