William Glenn Lain, 80, of Muldoon and formerly of Bee County, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Lain was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Haskell to Robert and Donna (Moody) Lain. He married Cora “Coco” Richert in January 1990, in Harris County. He served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer first class during the Korean War “Police Action.” He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and worked in the oil and marine industries.

Mr. Lain was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Coco Lain; a daughter, Kimberly Glynn Lain of Houston; a sister, June Walkup of San Antonio; two brothers, Bobby Dave (Maxine) Lain of La Grange and Larry (Ann) Lain of San Antonio; two stepsons, Carl (Lynne) Paschetag Jr. of Marblehead, Mass. and John Paschetag of San Antonio; two stepdaughters, Katryn (Lenn) Lewis of San Antonio and Laura (Craig) Brown of Park City, Utah; four grandchildren, Richard Duplessis, Elizabeth Wright, Patrick Wright and Paige Lain; two great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren, Emma, Gordon and Joan Lewis and Gordon and Owen Brown.

Visitation was held Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Baker Lain Cemetery in Cleburne with Leon Humphreys officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
