BAM will host art camp

Each summer the Beeville Art Museum contacts artists to teach weeklong classes in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and this year is tackling a mural project. The mural created will be unveiled at the 2011 Family Art Day on Aug. 6.

This camp, set for July 25-29, is a walk-in class and is open to all ages. Times are 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.

Family Art Day

Family Art Day will be held at the museum on Saturday, Aug. 6, from noon to 2 p.m. and includes an opening reception for the Texas Artists Exhibit and annual August Children’s Exhibit, and the unveiling of the summer art camp mural, as well as other art activities. Everyone is invited to bring children and enjoy the exhibits, snow cones, popcorn, cookies, cold drinks and fun.
