He was born February 27, 1949, in Beeville, Texas. He was a resident of Katy since 1988. He taught school in Beeville, Texas for eight years and then worked for Amoco Corporation for 20 years. He also enjoyed doing income taxes for his many clients.
Scott was a true Southerner and the word “Rebel” fit him perfectly. Robert E. Lee was his idol and now he can meet him.
Survivors include his brother, Howard Black of Katy; and three nephews and their families.
His parents, Thomas and Mable Black of Pettus, Texas preceded him in death.
Eckols Funeral Home of Kenedy, Texas was in charge of services. Burial was in the Kenedy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Black, Stephen Black, Michael Black, Howard Black and Charles Hickey.
