Lost his 2 1/2 year battle to liver cancer on September 2, 2011. Tom was born in Beevile, Texas, on July 31, 1930, to Domitila and Tomas G. Baltazar. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas.

Tom also served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict for 4 years. He moved to Riverside, CA, in 1957, with his new bride, Theresa, and lived in the Riverside/Jurupa area since.

He retired from Montgomery Ward after 20 years in sales and received Top Salesman for 10 consecutive years at the San Bernardino store. He also earned the Montgomery Ward Western Region Top Salesman Award out of the Riverside store. During that time, he and his oldest son owned/operated Tomasino’s Restaurant in the Riverside Plaza.

Tom was also a Mobil Oil dealer for 27 years and owned/operated three service station dealerships with his family in the Inland Empire.

Tom’s real love was his wife, Theresa; his three sons, Raymond, Tom and Ron; and his six grandchildren. He also loved to travel and listen to Big Band/Jazz music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Minnie Fasshold; and his brother, Raymond.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; sons, Raymond-wife Zury and grandsons Dax and Devan, Tom-wife Connie and grandchildren Milan and Tommy, and Ron-Cyndi and grandchildren Ryan and Brianna. He is also survived by his siblings, Josie, Bobby. Jimmy, Dorothy and nephew Richard and other family members.

Viewing was at the Preston & Simons Mortuary in Riverside on Sunday, September 11, 2011, from 4-6 p.m. with Rosary to be held at St. Francis de Sales Church in Riverside at 7 p.m. on September 11, 2011. Funeral Mass was held at St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011, with burial following at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, using Assembly Area #4. Reception immediately followed at the Jurupa Hills Country Club in Riverside.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Smile Train, www.smiletrain.org, St. Jude Research Hospital or St. Francis de Sales.
