The “McGloin Homestead,” once the home of Empresario of San Patricio James R. McGloin, between Bluntzer and Mathis, will not be open to the public on Sunday, Oct. 9, due to extreme drought conditions and the increased fire danger.

If significant rain is received between now and November and the fire danger subsides, the next scheduled opening will be Sunday, Nov. 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12.

For more information call 882-8691 or 547-2546.
