The Bee County Historical Commission has prepared a Courthouse Centennial Edition (1912-2012) calendar to go on sale Oct. 5. The calendar contains many historical pictures of people and places in Bee County for the last 130 years.

Included in this special edition is a photo of the 1951 visit to Beeville by John Wayne an other movie stars to celebrate “Movie Time USA.” Calendars will be on sale at Wicker Basket, Hogue’s Jewelry, Bella’s Cottage, Bee County Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank, A Perfect Fit, Schulz and Wroten Pharmacy and Rubbed the Right Way, Park Hotel and the offices of the district clerk at the Bee County Courthouse. A $10 donation is requested and all proceeds will go toward efforts to preserve the history of Bee County.
