Mrs. Crenshaw was born July 16, 1937, to Leonard “Happy” and Lula Mae Canada in Beeville. She worked in education as a teacher’s aide. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt, Velma Henderson; and her brother, Charles Canada.
Survivors include four sons, Charles (Shurline) Crenshaw of San Antonio, Leonard Crenshaw of Beeville, Richard (Belinda) Crenshaw of Kenedy and Matthew Crenshaw of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Orrie Mae Kemp of Northport, Ala., and Holly Crenshaw of Richardson; grandson, Terrill Walter of Dallas; a sister, Claudia Hodge of Beeville; a sister-in-law, Tina Canada of Houston; a brother-in-law, Tommy (Alice) Crenshaw of San Antonio; an aunt, Vernest Tippens of Snyder; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Treviño Funeral Home.
The celebration of life services were Thursday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Eric Rendell Tarver officiating. Burial was at Saint Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clee Tippens III, James Tippens, Willie Tippens, Leonard Robinson, Robert Robinson, Lionel Hodge, Marquis Davis and Joe Loya.
