Dimas enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed ranching and working with his animals. Dimas worked for Mr. James W. Staples for twenty-eight years and took care of his ranches, and he enjoyed working on the rig.
He is survived by his father; Jose Guadalupe Cardenas of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico; two brothers, Jose Guadalupe Cardenas Jr. and Luis Cardenas, both of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico; five sisters, Isabel Cardenas of San Antonio, Texas, Alberta (Anselmo) Campos of Beeville, Texas, Linda, Gloria and Pancha Cardenas, all of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. Dimas is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Christopher Campos, Kimberly Campos, Victoria Campos, Devin Campos, Melinda Campos, Dennis Campos, Maria Campos, Melanie Ramos and Valerie Ramos.
A private memorial service will be held at the family residence at a later date.
