She was born Dec. 7, 1911, in Lenz, to Mary Schul Kellner and Henry Kellner Sr. She married Edwin Heirholzer on Oct. 1, 1930, in Fashing at the Fashing Methodist Church. She was a member of Fashing UMC, where she sang in the choir, was a communion steward and church and Sunday school secretary. She was also a farmer, rancher and housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one daughter, Aileen Heirholzer; one son, Ed Roy Heirholzer; six sisters, Ida, Ella, Thekla, Bertha, Wanda and Nora Kellner; and six brothers, Henry, Gus, Oscar, Herman, Edgar and Hugo Kellner.
Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn (Jack) Stewart of Beeville; two grandchildren, Sherry Barker and Dale Novak; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eckols Funeral Home chapel in Kenedy. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Harold Zirkel and Rev. Dr. Jack Bush Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Fashing Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Novak, Todd Schendel, Connard Barker, Cody Barker, Colton Novak and Chase Barker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fashing First United Methodist Church or Fashing Cemetery.
