Recently, the AC Jones High School Career and Technology Education program invited business leaders from the area to discuss with the teachers ways to better prepare the students for the work force.

Businesses that are closely associated to the program areas offered at AC Jones were invited to send representatives.

The local business leaders that attended were:  Orlando Vasquez (Texas Champion Bank), Rudy Garcia (Pantry Stores), Amy Vermillion – (Chili’s Grill and Bar), Fred Kneten (F & V Home Improvements), David Todd (Todd’s Welding), and Randy Clothes (McDonald’s Restaurant).

Teachers prepared questions for the presenters.

Pat Seals, Director of Career and Technology Education at AC Jones said, “Our business leader guests were challenged by the teachers’ questions, and I believe the outcome was some very worthwhile information that we can all share with our students.”

For more information, contact Mr. Seals at 362-6000.
