First, Winterfest arrives with two big nights of musical entertainment at the Bee County Expo Center. On Friday night, noted Tejano bands Duelo and Siggno will provide the dance tunes. Then on Saturday, the acclaimed Randy Rogers Band will return as the featured performer, preceded by Jon Wolfe and James Lann.
General admission tickets are $10 apiece, and the doors open at 7 o’clock each evening at the rodeo arena. Tickets are available at various area locations and at the gate. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Winterfest is billed as a family friendly event.
Then on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 8 p.m., a Holly Jolly Christmas again will transform downtown Beeville into a destination for kids of all ages.
Among the featured attractions will be a snowflake park (with 20 tons of snow, a slide and other games) at the Depot Pavilion, Santa’s grand arrival and Mrs. Claus appearing at the library, a Rialto Theater open house, peppermint palace and puppet performance at the library, carriage rides around town, a Christmas tree forest at the historic McClanahan House, holly jolly performers and Christmas gifts for Toys for Tots.
The evening will conclude with the eagerly anticipated Winter Wonderland Lighted Parade, including cash prize awards for the best overall entry, float and school band.
Beeville Main Street is the sponsor of this annual seasonal favorite. Come and enjoy the winter fun – even if the weather outside isn’t frightful.
