Maegan Porter of Beeville and Stephen Kosub of Saint Hedwig are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Roxanne and Charlie Porter Jr. of Beeville. She is a 2006 graduate of A.C. Jones High School and a 2010 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, where she received her bachelor of science degree in family and consumer science with a minor in family and child development. She is currently employed at St. Mary’s Academy Charter School as the after school director. She is the granddaughter of Norma and Don Chamrad of Beeville, Joyce and Charles McCameron of Beeville and Beverly and Charlie Porter Sr. of Mathis.

The prospective groom is the son of Vernon and Robin Kosub of Saint Hedwig. He is a 2002 graduate of San Antonio East Central High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture science with a minor in plant and soil science. He is currently employed as a drilling fluids engineer for Halliburton Energy Company. He is the grandson of the late Rita and Lucas Kosub of Saint Hedwig, Dolores Stephens of San Antonio and the late Ruben Stephens.

The couple plan to wed Friday, Dec. 28, at 4 p.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Kingsville with a reception to be held at the King Ranch Museum.
