William Ray Jancha, Sr.

William Ray Jancha Sr., 75, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, due to an unexpected illness of peripheral T-cell lymphoma.

Mr. Jancha was born Aug. 27, 1937. He was raised on a family farm in South Texas and put himself through college at Texas A&I by selling livestock. He served in the U.S. Army and married Lila May “Mickie” Arnold in 1963. He was retired from a career in human resources at Lockheed Martin Corporation and attained his real estate license. He enjoyed nature, gardening, hunting, fishing, dancing and extensive travel in his camper. He was a member of the Buda Methodist Church.

Survivors include his friend, Alice; step-children, Randy, Tim and Karen; and his two sons, William Jr. and David.

Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrell’s Funeral Home in Kyle.

The funeral was conducted Saturday, Dec. 29, there at 1 p.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Harrell’s Funeral Home, Kyle.
