Joseph C. Scott, 58, of Beeville died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville.

Mr. Scott was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Refugio to James C. and Frankie E. Scott. He was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an usher.

Survivors include his wife, Daphne Scott of Beeville; two daughters, Taneca (Michael) Stovall of Corpus Christi and LaShawntee Scott of Pflugerville; a stepson, Sammie Toliver of Beeville; seven brothers, John Scott, Charlie (Nicole) Henderson of Refugio, Phillip (Karen) King of Goliad, Sterling (Teresa) Scott, Sylvester Henderson of Elgin, Adley Scott of Seabrook and Vernon Jones of Bay City; five sisters; Laura Scott, Rhonda Scott (Dave) Jones, Lois (James) Cox of Refugio, Helen Washington of Columbus and Carol Perry of Angleton; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Treviño Funeral Home chapel from 3 to 7 p.m.

The funeral service was conducted there at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, with Rev. Eric R. Tarver officiating. Interment followed at Saint Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dave Scott, Daniel Henderson, Charlie Henderson Jr., James Scott, Leonard Perry and Willie J. Henderson Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Evans, Kirk Jones, Denzel Young, Rodney Perry, Rick Flores and Vincent Flores.
