Brian Patrick Heard passed away on December 23, 2012, at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Brian was born January 29, 1953, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to James Power and Marguerite Domingues Heard. He was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and North Texas State University. Brian was a longtime resident of New York City before returning to Beeville, in 1999, following the death of his father. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish.

Brian was predeceased by both parents and a sister-in-law, Frances Lebourveau Heard. He is survived by his partner, Henry Catenacci, of Santa Fe, as well as four brothers - James P. Heard, Jr. of Blanco, Texas, Mark Heard and wife, Jean Marie, and Philip Heard of Austin, and Paul Heard and wife Debbi of Beeville. Brian is also survived by six nieces, four nephews, one grand-niece and two grand-nephews. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
