The Flying Balalaika Brothers will return to Beeville with a musical taste of Russia Friday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gertrude R. Jones Performing Arts Auditorium at Coastal Bend College.

Their performance is made possible by grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts and the Coastal Bend Community Foundation to the Beeville Concert Association.

The group was organized in Los Angeles in 1995 as the Red Elvises, but is now based in Austin, where they perform nightly at clubs in the capital city. Their traditional instrument, the balalaika, sounds similar to a banjo.

All children through high school age admitted free, as are CBC students with their student ID’s. Single tickets at the door are $10 for adults who do not hold BCA season tickets. Free admission is also offered to any adult who brings two children or young adults through high school age to a concert.
