Karnes County emergency personnel responded to a report of a helicopter crash in a rural area on Friday afternoon, Feb. 1.

According to emergency radio traffic reports, two persons were injured in the crash which happened about 2:45 in the afternoon.

An AirLife helicopter was sent to the scene to transport the injured persons to a hospital. One person involved in the crash reportedly had severe back pains.

The crash happened in an area about eight miles east of Gillett near County Road 277.
