Mr. Tomas M. Trevino, age 86, passed away on April 21, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Feb. 5, 1927, in Skidmore, Texas, to the late Onesimo and Francisca Trevino.

Tomas was preceded in death by his wife, Eva V. Trevino; three daughters, Evita, Norma Jean and Esperanza Trevino; three brothers, Arturo, Reynaldo and Domingo Trevino; and two sisters, Gloria Peralez and Eliza Perez.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy (Noemi) Trevino and Ony (Pat Diaz) Trevino, both of Beeville, Texas; three daughters, Janie (Francisco) Moreno of Pleasant Grove, Texas, Nancy (Ernest) Cano and Anna Trevino, both of Beeville, Texas; one brother, Deacon Luis (Alicia) Trevino of Beeville, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Tomas was one of the last survivors of the original Blue Jays; he worked for the City of Beeville for about 17 years and also worked for Trevino Funeral Home for over 45 years as the General Manager for the cemetery crews and was the personal chauffeur for the Trevino family. He was a dedicated fan of the Beeville Trojans and loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys. He proudly served our country during WWII with the United States Army.

A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 7 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2013. at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial followed at the St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers were John Thomas Trevino, Ernest Cano Jr., Frank Moreno Jr., Omero Moreno, David Lee Trevino and Adam D. Trevino. Honorary pallbearers were the Round Table Coffee Crew of the Pantry South.
