Students in Carolyn Puckett’s fourth-grade class at First Baptist Church School visited Goliad’s Presidio La Bahia on Friday, March 27, in conjunction with their study of Texas history.

The visit included a presentation by the presidio’s curator and a tour of the grounds and monument honoring the brave men who lost their lives during the 1836 battle at Goliad.

The class also had the opportunity to visit with several re-enactment team members that were setting up for the 24th annual Goliad Massacre Living History Program that was held on March 28-29.
