The historic McClanahan House will be open to the public for tours Sunday, Sept. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. This is the oldest business structure still standing in Beeville.

Owned and operated by the Bee County Historical Society, the structure was built in 1867. It is home to much memorabilia, including furniture, books, photos, display cases full of old military uniforms and lots of old vintage items from the ranching community.

If you have never been to the museum, or if it has been a long time since you visited, you owe it to yourself to come see the displays, say BCHS members.

The house is located at 206 E. Corpus Christi St., Beeville.
