Mrs. McCullough was born June 24, 1929, in Beeville, to Edna Perle (Reid) and Ira Howard Hunter. She married Ernest Verdel McCullough in Galveston County and was a homemaker and member of the Adams Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Penny Kay McCullough; a sister, Nell Denson; and four brothers, Barney Hunter, Bobby Hunter, Floy Lee Denson and Dan Hunter.
Survivors include a son, Dennis (Tammie) McCullough of Beeville; two grandchildren, Shawn Edwards and Dennis “Scooter” McCullough; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Chester (Esther) Hunter of Chicago, Ill., Horace (Shirley) Hunter of Dickenson and Ronald (Loyce) Hunter of Arlington.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service was conducted Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
Pallbearers were Shawn Edwards, Dennis “Scooter” McCullough, John Denson, Bobby Denson, Darren Nunley and Adam Ramsey.
