Mrs. Garza was born in Beeville to Juan and Trinidad (Moya) Ramirez on June 14, 1931.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxiliano Garza; a son, Ramiro R. Garza; four brothers, Alfonso, Calistro, Cruz and Damacio Ramirez; two sisters, Josephine Borjas and Lucia Viduarri; a granddaughter, Sabrina Law Gaynor; and a son-in-law, Ernesto T. Loya.
Survivors include five daughters, Elida (Gilbert) Trujillo, Connie Loya, Esperanza (Jerry) English, Mary Lou (Frank) Altamirano, all of Beeville, and Trinidad (Juan) Vidal of San Antonio; one brother, Jose Ramirez of Beeville; 17 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A rosary was recited Monday, Nov. 18, at Treviño Funeral Home at 7 p.m.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of Victory #2 Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ernest Joe Loya, Gabriel Lynn Loya, Ernest Camacho, Joe Anthony Garza, Jason Altamirano, and Frank Altamirano Jr.
Honorary pallbearer was Ira Ann Hernandez.
