Joe was born in Brooklyn, New York 12.8.26, and, as he told everyone, got to Texas as fast as he could. Joe proudly received his GED in Beeville at the age of 65. He was retired from the automotive industry.
Joe is survived by his true love, JoAnn Atwood Piccione whom he married in 1994. Joe is also survived by two children, Joseph Jr. (Bridget) of Stony Brook, New York and Dorothea Masturzo of Florida; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and three stepsons, Paul Piccione (Nicole) of Youngstown, Ohio, Philip Piccione (Mary) of East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Michael Piccione (Tracy) of Mukilteo, Washington.
Joe’s philosophy was to say what he thought and mean what he said. His values were old fashioned and true.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice of South Texas, Victoria, Texas.
A memorial service/celebration of life was held at 10 am Saturday, December 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Beeville.
