Pettus – Barbecue, hay rides, pony rides, a horse-drawn carriage — plus the chance to visit the beautiful campus of a South Texas ministry that has met the needs of children and families since 1952 — all of this happens on Saturday, Dec. 14, as South Texas Children’s Home Ministries hosts “A Homespun Christmas” at its Boothe Campus from 4 to 7 p.m.

Brightly decorated cottages will welcome all who stop by to share a little Christmas cheer with STCHM children and staff and other members of the community.

The complimentary barbecue meal will be served at 5 p.m. Other activities include strolling carolers, campus tours and a brief special presentation by the STCHM children joined by children from First Baptist Church School in Beeville.

“To fully understand not only what we do but how we do it, people truly need to come see one of our campuses,” STCHM President and CEO Eron Green said. “We have been a faithful servant to the Bee County community for 62 years, and you owe it to yourself to come out and bring a friend or your family to see how lives are being changed.”

The Boothe Campus is located at 9243 FM 2617 near Pettus. For more information or to RSVP by Dec. 6, call 361-375-2417, or email
