Mr. Mayberry was born June 1, 1953, in Beeville to Carl Mayberry and Allen “Chocolate” Rupe Mayberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred Anderson.
He worked for many years at Kay’s boKay’s, Treviño Funeral Home and Shiner Roofing. He was a major antique collector and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include two brothers, Carl Mayberry Jr. and Rhea (Reabo) Mayberry; two sisters, Dolores Embry and Tanue White; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home.
The funeral service was conducted there Saturday, Jan. 4, at 3 p.m. with Minister Chowan Mayo officiating. Burial followed at St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Johnson, Bo Mack, Jonathan Mack, J.J. Robinson, Hector Maldonado and Leonard Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers were family and friends.
