“Go to our News and Events page (coastalbendcrimestoppers.com) for information and forms for the scholarship offered by Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers to a student interested in law enforcement as a career,” said organization president Cathey Brown.
Interested students should then contact their school counselors if they are interested in applying. The deadline to deliver an application to the counselor is April 15.
The application is available in a pdf file on the organization’s web site.
The organization’s scholarship committee will review all the applications, and present their suggestion to the board at the Thursday, May 1, meeting. The winner will be announced on May 2.
The offer is open to any student presently in school in Bee, Goliad, or Live Oak County who wants to go into law enforcement as a career.
