Historical Society invites community to participate in ‘Flashback – a Photography Event’ on Saturday

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this Saturday evening, Feb. 15, there will be many beautiful stories to tell, all with happy endings.

The public is cordially invited to attend “Flashback – A Photography Event Benefiting the Beeville Historical Society,” where some of the best photographers in Bee County will exhibit their work.

Every photograph will also be for sale, with photographers donating 50 percent of the proceeds to the BCHS.

Admission to the event, to be held from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at the McClanahan House, 206 E. Corpus Christi St., is free. Wine and cheese will be served.

Participating photographers include Cissy Beasley, Robert Benson, Elbert “Buz” Brown, Sylvia Garcia-Smith, George Gilchrist, Jimmy Jackson, Perry Lee Langbein, Armando Musquez, Mark Shane Valdez and Keith and Jan Webb.

Event attendees will enjoy scenes depicting nature and wildlife, landscapes and scenery, people, historical themes, and architecture. In addition, those in attendance may win door prizes such as a massage with Table Talk Massage, owner Shirley O’Neil; a photo shoot session with photographer Sylvia Garcia-Smith; photo instruction with Cissy Beasley and other great items. (Must be present to win.)
