In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month this February, first year Coastal Bend College dental hygiene students visited the Hampton-Moreno-Dugat Early Childhood Center and the Ayala Headstart Center in Beeville.

The CBC dental hygiene students wrote and performed fun, educational skits for the children that focused on the importance of oral health and developing healthy habits at an early age.

CBC’s dental hygiene students also provide low cost patient screening procedures and services for the entire community at the CBC Dental Hygiene Clinic located on the Beeville campus at 3800 Charco Road. Services offered at the clinic include teeth cleaning and applying preventative materials such as topical fluorides to the patient’s teeth. All patients also receive information about developing good oral health and hygiene.

Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Call the CBC Dental Hygiene Clinic at 361-354-2555 for more information or to make an appointment.
