Dionicio “Nicho” Villanueva Jr., 75, formerly of Pawnee, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Mr. Villanueva was born Oct. 4, 1938, to Dionicio and Tomasita Aguirre Villanueva. He was a master carpenter by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Ernesto Aguirre and Tomas Gomez; and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include his children, Yolanda (Jolly) Robinson, Dionicio Villanueva III, Valerie Bishop (Rocky) Hunt, Darryl Villanueva, Darrin Villanueva, Kristen Godinho; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita Thomas and Elvia Ortiz, both of Olton, Elisa Garcia of Seguin, Elida (Seferino) Serna of Pawnee, Guadalupe (Jim) Sheffield of Victoria, Antonia (Rene) Longoria of Aransas Pass, Genoveva Ponce and Elvira (Steve) Alaniz, both of George West, Domingo Villanueva of Three Rivers and Leonides (Alice) Villanueva of Kingsville.

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Pawnee. Friends and relatives were invited to attend services.
