He was born June 2, 1928, in Homer, La., to Wilie Mae (Spaulding)Webb and M. I. Webb. He married Mattie (Patti Fox) Webb of Tulsita on Sept. 16, 1955, in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mary Whiddon, Ira Mae Fox and infant Marie Webb.
Survived by wife, Patti; one sister, Dorothy Kimbrell of Magnolia, Ark.; son, Douglas Webb; daughter, Patricia (Ken) Colvin. He had four grandsons, Mike (Anne) Colvin, Chad (Maggie) Colvin, Allen Colvin and Jake Colvin; a great-granddaughter, Ellie Colvin; one niece, Dorothy Whiddon; and one foster daughter, Lonnette (Robin) Brawner and daughters, Rani and Tori.
J.C. grew up in Magnolia, Ark. He spent three years in the U.S. Army with a time spent in Greenland. He came back to Bee County to be near his sister, Ira Mae and had a small grocery store in Tulsita. He then moved to Houston, then Katy.
Burial was on March 8, 2014, in Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.
