The Beeville Community Chorus will present their 11th annual Talent Show and dinner on Saturday, March 29, at 118 N. The dinner will be at 6 p.m., and the talent show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner and show will be $20 and $8 for the show only. The dinner will be catered by Julie Vrana of the Upper Crust Food Company. Julie’s food company is located in Houston; however, Julie and her husband Randy have lived in Beeville for several years, and they are excited about preparing and catering the food for the evening.

The menu for the dinner will be guacamole ensalada (fresh creamy avocados blended with citrus juices and spice), fajitas de carne y pollo (tender beef and chicken fajitas, grilled to perfection), arroz con crema y poblanos (creamy rice casserole with poblano chiles), frijoles de la olla (fresh pot cooked pinot beans), maiz picante golden corn kernels blended with chiles and cheeses), and lemon velvet cake. The last day to purchase a ticket for the dinner and show will be Tuesday, March 25. Tickets for the show only can be purchased at the door the evening of the show.

Members of the choir who will be performing will be Katheryn Mylnar, Carolyn Hamrick, Donna Davis, Jan Koehler, Matt Wagner, Benjamin Brewer, Leah Brewer, Jeff Brewer, Nancy Jones, Keith Mix and Bruce King. A special guest performer will be the granddaughter of Jan Koehler, Lila McFall. Dr. James Lee, artistic director of the Beeville Community Chorus will be accompanying several of the performers on the piano.

Please contact any one of the performers or members of the community chorus for tickets or you may call Donna Davis at 318-3848. Patrons may also send a check for the number of desired tickets to P.O. Box 1843, Beeville, Texas 78104, and tickets will be at the door in your name. On the evening of the talent show, there will be a drawing for $100 cash. Tickets for the drawing may be purchased at the door the evening of the event. You must be present to win. Ask a choir member for more details.
