Juan Antonio “Tony” Solis
Juan Antonio “Tony” Solis, 68, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Christus Spohn Hospital-Beeville.

Mr. Solis was born Oct. 9, 1945, in Beeville to Juan M. and Mercedes (Rodriguez) Solis. He was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and served in the United States Air Force. He served civically in the Knights of Columbus and was active religiously as a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He worked for ConocoPhillips and was self employed for many years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Garcia.

Survivors include a son, Ruben Solis of Bishop; daughter, Andrea Dee Solis of Edinburg; brother, Chale (Angie) Solis of San Angelo; sister, Teresa Castillo of Colorado City; grandsons, Roen, Rien, Reid and Rydr Solis, and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, April 25, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 o’clock that evening.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Interment followed at San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville Community with full military honors.

Pallbearers were Paul Silva, Gabriel Salazar, Orlando Soliz, Visente Garcia, Robbie Guerrero and Roen Soliz.
