Bob Granger, music director of the First Baptist Church, will direct this year’s Chimes and Chocolates concert, presented by Beeville’s four church handbell choirs Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.

This is the 10th annual concert, the brainchild of the late Margaret Moser, and is an important fundraiser for the Beeville Vineyard.

Bell choirs from First Baptist, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist and St. Philip’s Episcopal Churches will ring the opening and closing hymns and two special arrangements en masse. Each choir also will ring two individual choir selections.

The women and handbell choir members of the four churches and Vineyard board members will provide chocolate desserts following the concert for all attending. The reception will be held in the FUMC Christian fellowship hall.

A goodwill offering will be collected to benefit the Vineyard and enable the local help agency to assist more needy members of this community.

Granger directs the FBC bell choir; Alyssa Gámez, the FUMC choir; Louanne LeBourveau, the First Presbyterian choir; and Louise Mayberry, the St. Philip’s choir.
