Teachers appreciated with gifts of honor at Jones High

Jones High teachers were given some much needed recognition on Wednesday as part of Teacher Appreciation Week. The teachers during their staff meeting were given buddy bags filled with goodies and many won door prizes including a $100, two $50, and four $25 gift certificates, a George Foreman grill, a  two-man inflatable boat, silverware  and numerous other gifts.

Teachers of A.C. Jones High School were showered with gifts to honor them as part of teacher appreciation week.

Throughout the week, the teachers received various gifts thanks to donations from Beeville businesses.

On Wednesday, for example, the teachers during their staff meeting were given buddy bags filled with goodies and many won door prizes including a $100, two $50, and four $25 gift certificates, a George Foreman grill, a two-man inflatable boat, silverware and numerous other gifts.

On Friday, wrapping up the week, survival kits containing several kinds of candy with a message about each one along with a thank you card were delivered to the staff. Candy included: Treasures candy – you are a treasure to all; Lifesavers – something to hold onto when you feel you are drowning; Laffy Taffy – keep your sense of humor; Starburst – for a burst of energy; and several more.

Contributors included: The Joe Barnhart Scholarship Program, H-E-B, Hughes & Hughes, Prosperity Bank, Navy Army Federal Credit Union, First National Bank, Christus Spohn Hospital, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, F&V Home Improvements, BPS Credit Union, Alaniz & Perez Garage, Schulz & Wroten and Stars.
