I am both honored and pleased to have the privilege of speaking to all of you tonight. I’m not going to lie, this isn’t the easiest thing for me to do. As you can tell, I’m extremely nervous so I’m going to try my best to get through this.

I was so nervous to start my first day of high school at Skidmore-Tynan, because I was a transfer student and it was a new school to me. I didn’t know what to expect when I first walked into the halls and met everyone. When they told me that we had two and a half hallways I was like “Half?” How do you have a “half hallway?” But then after walking the school in like minutes, I finally understood I would love this school.

Skidmore-Tynan is the place for anyone. The atmosphere is so friendly and it’s just so easy to get along with everyone. The fabulous teachers who are there for you even when you’re struggling to understand a subject. The coaches who are always there to push you, to help you succeed. The awesome counselor who is always there for you when you need help. The fantastic principal who is always there for you even when you just want to talk. And last but not least, the kids, my friends, themselves are all there to help you through anything and everything. In Skidmore- Tynan, everyone is there for everyone else.

Now to our parents, guardians and family. I especially want to thank you for being here for us. Without you this night would not have been possible. Thank you for supporting us through our high school journey.

Finally, now to my fellow classmates. I don’t even know where to start. Thank you all for making my high school years memorable. How can any of us forget our senior trip? The long, long bus ride we took just to get to Austin’s Park. And the even longer bus ride back home.

Even though we are ending our career of high school, we are entering a bigger, better life ahead. There is so much in store for us. We still have so much that lies in front of us. Never limit yourself. Always try to achieve more.

Thank you all again who have been there for us through this journey. And thank you for coming tonight to share this moment with us.

Congratulations, all you seniors! We finally did it! I wish all of the class of 2009 the best of luck! God bless and thank you.
