Wright earns PA status from UT Health Science Center

Callie Bowman Wright graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio on May 23 with a master of physician assistant studies with a grade point average of 3.967.

She was voted Most Outstanding Physician Assistant student of 2009 by the faculty, and was one out of three students selected to the Alpha Eta Society, based on her GPA.

She was also accepted to the Pi Alpha National Honor Society, and was one out of five students selected based on academic achievement, leadership, research, service and a high standard of character and conduct.

Wright graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University at College Station in August 2005 with a bachelor of science in psychology. She is a 2002 graduate of A.C. Jones High School, where she was salutatorian.

She is the daughter of Sherry and Bo Bowman of Beeville. She is the granddaughter of the late Ada and Dewayne Bowman Sr. of Beeville, and Barbara and Tommy Wright of Woodsboro.

She is married to Lucas Wright and resides in San Antonio where she will be working in a family practice clinic with Dr. Mary Beth Harr and Dr. Paul Deschner.
