Texas A&M announces grads, Dean’s Honor Roll recipients for spring 2009

COLLEGE STATION – Diplomas were awarded to 5,787 Texas A&M University graduates during spring commencement ceremonies.

Among those recognized were: Ryan Allison Luna of Beeville, bachelor of science-sociology; Christina Lynn Causey of Beeville, bachelor of arts-history, summa cum laude; Eric Dixon Fish of Beeville, bachelor of science-agricultural systems management; Clayton Ross Rogers of Beeville, bachelor of arts-history; Ryan James Wolff of Pawnee, bachelor of business administration-information & operations management; and Cathy Jean Wong of Beeville, bachelor of science-sociology.

The university has also named its honor students for the spring 2009 semester, recognizing them for outstanding academic performance.

The Dean’s Honor Roll recognizes students taking at least 15 semester hours during the spring semester who have maintained a 3.75 or higher grade point (GPR) out of a possible 4.0.

A second designation, “Distinguished Student,” recognizes those who earned a 3.5 to 3.74 GPR while taking at least 15 hours for the spring semester.

Among those students recognized were: Ryan Allison Luna of Beeville, bachelor of science-sociology; Lorayne Krystal Chandler of Tuleta, bachelor of science-interdisciplinary studies; Kaitlyn Elisabeth Bolland of Beeville, bachelor of science-interdisciplinary studies; and Emily Rhea Mengers of Tynan, bachelor of science-kinesiology (lower).
